“My enemies are after Me, send me money.” - Simon Leviev
Synopsis: This film depicts the true-life story of a handsome, intelligent, and smooth Israeli fraudster, Simon Leviev, and the women he conned for financial gains. It involves investigative journalism turned documentary kind of presentation and tells the story of the victims using real footage from the incidents. The Review: This is one film that will arouse your curiosity and sustain the suspense from start to finish. It’s a story well told and presented with the actual victims telling their stories and how social media was a powerful force for information gathering, tracking, and helping to connect the women. I found some scenes to be humorous despite the entire bad situation, the greatest takeaway is the lesson to be learned from the victims and how not to fall prey to fraudsters who disguise on social media or dating apps. Love makes the world go round, but you don’t want to meet Simon Leviev on your way! This is a watch.
